TABLE QUIZ

A table quiz in aid of the Samaritans will take place in Mary Jo’s Pub, Larkin’s Cross on December 2 at 9 p.m. A table of four is just €20. Your support would be much appreciate­d.

PONGO

Pongo continues in the Kitchen in Glynn Hall on the first Tuesday of every month at 8 p.m. Come along and enjoy the fun. The annual parish Christmas Bazaar will take place on Sunday, December 17, after 10 a.m. Mass – more details to follow soon. Save the date in your diary.

SPLIT THE POT

Barntown Parish split-the-pot continues. Watch out for the boxes on shop counter sat the following locations; C& D Providers, O’Brien’s Londis Larkin’s Cross, Saucy Butcher Clonard, Killeens Service Station, Barntown parish office, Mary Jo’s and the Sailing Cot. Only €2 to enter. The pot is growing every week.

CAMOGIE

We wish our club minor camogie players the very best of luck in their upcoming Premier Co semi-final on Sunday, December 3. Venue and time tbc.

Congratula­tions to Emma D, Emma S, Emma Sw, Jess, Niamh C, Alibeth and mentor Ciarán and the Presentati­on Wexford Senior camogie team who had a comfortabl­e win over Gorey on Thursday.

Congratula­tions also to Clodagh J, Aisling and Eva C and the Loreto Senior footballer­s who are through to the Leinster final following a great win on Wednesday.

COISTE NA NÓG

GEAR SHOP – The club Gear Shop will be open this Wednesday from 7.30 p.m. to 8.30 p.m. Skinny track bottoms, half zips, jerseys, shorts, skorts, socks, gear bags, crew necks, wet gear in stock.

SCÓR NA NÓG – Following an amazing performanc­e in Carrig-on-Bannow on Friday evening, our Glynn-Barntown Junior Ballad Group-Emmeline, Aoibhinn, Emma, Clíodhna and Kate-have won their section of Scór na nÓg Loch Garman thus qualifying for the County Final on Friday, November 24. Well done girls and best of luck to you all. Well done to Christina and Jelina, who also took part and our thanks to Annette for all her hard work and to the parents and supporters.

SENIOR GAA

GET WELL SOON – We all join together in wishing a speedy recovery to club stalwart Jim McGovern and look forward to seeing him back on the sideline soon as his charges, the under-21 footballer­s continue their championsh­ip campaign.

CLUB LOTTO – Time is ticking to be included in the new lotto draw. The next draw will be the first of the NEW LOTTO 2017/18 draw and will be held in Declan’s on Wednesday, November 29, with the jackpot at €7,000. LADIES FOOTBALL

The ladies’ football AGM is changed to Tuesday, November 28. All welcome to come along and contribute ideas for new season.

New coaches and committee members are still required. Please have a think about joining up for next year.

Congratula­tions to Barntown NS ladies’ footballer­s who just won the Rackard League ‘C’ county final on Monday evening.

SAVE THE DATE

A ‘Muck Savage Saturday’ event is planned for December 30 for all ages – a perfect opportunit­y to burn off the turkey and get some much needed exercise following the festive excesses. Details coming soon.

LOCAL TRANSPORT

Local Link Wexford provides a bus service from Barntown at 8.20 a.m. Monday to Friday to Wexford, with another schedule Monday to Saturday at 11.40 a.m. In addition there are services to Wexford on Tuesdays at 10.40 a.m. and Wednesdays at 10.10 a.m., both of these provide door to door service if required. ST VINCENT DE PAUL

The annual St. Vincent de Paul collection will take place in Glynn and Barntown at all masses this weekend. All monies collected stay in the area to help those most in need. Your support would be very much appreciate­d.
