THE LATE MOLLY FARRELL

The community of Kilrane-Rosslare Harbour and wider area were saddened to learn of the death of Molly Farrell, Barryville, Rosslare Harbour, who passed to her eternal reward on November 4 Molly (née Farrell) a native of Damerstown, Castlecomer, Co Kilkenny worked in retail and was a buyer in Bourkes Department store, Kilkenny. She met her husband Mick in Clondalkin, Co Dublin and they came as a young married couple to run the Pier Hotel (now Hotel Rosslare).

Molly was a very kind and hardworking woman and when the family moved to Barryville, her skills came to fruition, where she ran a very successful guesthouse. A woman of many talents, Molly enjoyed playing cards, especially Bridge, golf, gardening and helping her husband with his greyhounds. A large crowd attended her funeral Mass in St Patrick’s Church and she was laid to rest in St Aidan’s Cemetery, Kilrane beside her late husband Mick.

Sincere sympathy is offered to Molly’s family, her children Marian, Eva, Ann and Benny, sister Sarah, brothers Seán, Canice, Denis and Liam, sons-in-law, daughter-in-law, sister-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

A true lady at heart, Molly will be sadly missed by all her family, neighbours and friends. May she rest in peace.
