HEALING MASS
Mass of Healing and blessing of the sick will be celebrated in Our Lady’s Island Church this Wednesday, December 6, at 3 p.m.
PUBLIC MEETING
A very important Public Meeting regarding the proposed development of the Community Hall will take place this Thursday, December 7, at 8 p.m. in the Community Hall.
COFFEE SHOP
Our Community Coffee Shop is open every Sunday morning 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. for tea, chat and split-the-pot draw. Also for the month of December, we will have stalls, flowers, home-baking, christmas wreaths, centrepieces, crafts, etc starting Sunday, December 3.
ICA DINNER
Our Lady’s Island ICA.ladies m are holding their Christmas Dinner in Lobster Pot on Tuesday, December 19 – non-members are also welcome to come along – please contact Lila Vaughan at 91311345.
BOOK OF FUNNY STORIES
Fr Jim would like to invite people who have short funny stories, humorous sayings or (clean) jokes with a local flavour to write them out and drop them in to him prior to Christmas. These will then be compiled and edited with a view to producing a booklet which would express something of the unique character of the area and also be a fundraiser for parish development.
GAA LOTTO
With no jackpot winner last week, tonight’s jackpot stands at €6,800. Numbers drawn last week were 20, 24, 26 and 27. Conor Moloney (Seller Seán Pettit) shared in the match-three prize. Tickets available weekly for only €1.50each
GAA BINGO
GAA bingo every Tuesday night in Butler’s at 8 p.m. Jackpot now stands at €750 – come along for your chance to win.
SPLIT-THE-POT
Congratulations to Leo Lambert, on winning €142 in last week’s split-the-pot draw. Draw takes place in the community centre on Sunday after Mass. Thanks to all involved.
KILSCORAN COFFEE
There is a coffee morning and cake sale in Cushens Tagoat on Tuesday, December 12, at 11 a.m. Raffle, cakes, jams, etc. All in aid of Kilscoran Union of churches.
CHRISTMAS SERVICE
Christmas Service for the school will take place at 11.30 a.m. Wednesday, December 20, in the church.
