We have a selection of books available in the centre, come along and pick a book (only €1 donation – all money goes towards the community of Rosslare) A BOOK IS A GIFT YOU CAN OPEN AGAIN AND AGAIN Befriendin­g Group.

The Befriendin­g Group offers companions­hip to older people through weekly visits and telephone calls. Volunteers are trained by ‘alone’ volunteers are Garda vetted and reference checked we compliment other services such as home help, homecare etc., but do not replace them self-referrals and profession­al referrals are welcome. Spinning Classes – Tuesday morning 9.45 a.m. and 6.30 p.m. that evening also Thursday 9.45 a.m. and 6.30 p.m. come along and join in we promise no pot holes.

ROSSLARE TIDY TOWNS

Apart from the great performanc­e in the National Competitio­n it is fantastic that the group won three Awards at the recent Wexford County Council Environmen­t Awards Ceremony, this included an Award for the Best Overall Entry.

All this is very encouragin­g and plans are already under way for many and various projects for 2018. New Volunteers are always welcome to join in the good work of Tidy Towns.
