My name is Aidan Brennan. This is my first Christmas and I am so happy to be here. I have been a really good boy. I don’t live in Wexford but my grandparents do and I was hoping that you would leave me a big surprise at Nanny’s as I will be there for Christmas.

I live in Kildare in my mam and dad and my grandparents said that they will leave out some food for you. And Santa don’t forget the boys and girls that live in accomodation and guest houses as they don’t have chimney and you would not know where they live.

God bless Santa and be careful,

thank you xxx Dear Santa Claus,

I hope that you returned safely after last Christmas! And I hope Mrs Claus and the elves are doing okay too. Thank you so much for my presents last year. I really enjoyed playing with them. I hope that I am on the good list!

This year can I please have a pair of Adidas Superstar Runners, size 4, with sparkly stripes on the side? (or a pair that you think would suit me) Also can I have the “so slime” DIY kit and a cajon rhythm box, and a surprise if you don’t mind.

Thank you so much, if you only get one of these things I would be grateful.

Ruby Redmond (age 11, 6th class) Dear Santa,

How are you and Mrs Claus? I really enjoyed all the presents I got last year.

This year, if you do not mind I would like Oonies. They are little balloons that you make animals from. The next thing I would like, if you don’t mind, is a bicycle that is pretty, that you think will suit me and fit.

I would also like any good slime kit, eg. glam goo, galaxy slime, crazy slimy creations.

I hope I am on the good list. I am trying my very best at school with all my subjects.

My mam met my teacher for the parent/teacher meeting on the 22nd of November and when she came out she said I was very intelligent and that my writing was very neat (most of the time)!

From Pearl Redmond (3rd class, aged 9) Dear Santa,

I hope you got here safely. How are you and Mrs Claus? I really liked all of my presents from last year. Thanks for doing such a good job of getting exactly what I needed the most. This year can I please have a Shimmer and Shine Magic Flying Carpet and a really fast scooter to suit me and a surprise from your sleigh?

Also can I please have a new school bag that is big enough for my folder to fit in? I hope I’m on the good list, I’ve been very, very good. I really like drawing so please can you get me something arty as well, if you have any room left on your sleigh?

I hope you get here safely with the elves and that you have a really lovely Christmas. Thank you Santa,

Love from Tara Redmond (aged 5, junior infants) Hello Santa,

Brian Lawler from Rathnure, County Wexford in Ireland here. You have been in my house a good few times so I hope you remember where I am.

I think I’ve done enough to make your good list but if I haven’t will you tell the Elf on the Shelf and I will leave you out a whole week of pocket money and a Super Split. Mammy said that Ernie Elf is watching me the whole time and telling you if I’m causing trouble.

I want a good few things this year because my brother Shane is gone too big for you to come to him any more. My big surprise I want is a tablet so that I can play games on it and I love the way I can doodle and draw and colour pictures. My favourite thing to draw is diggers and I always colour them in yellow. I can use the tablet to facetime my brother Liam in Oztralia. I love it when he comes on the screen and he always cheers me up with a song, he loves that woman Mary Black.

I would also like a set of power tools like the ones I saw on the Late Late Toy Show but I understand if you don’t have many of them left. Please also bring me as many action figures that you can. I like the Power Rangers and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles the most. I also want some DVDs and a Manchester United football because I need to train to get better at soccer if I want to play for Ireland.

The last thing I want is for you to help Wexford win all around them next year. I go to all the matches and love wearing my jersey and hat. Davy Fitzgerald should pick my neighbour Syl Barron to play because he always scores for Rathnure and I know him.

Thank you again Santa and I will leave out a treat for you and your reindeers. Please let Ernie know if you would prefer a pizza slice or ham sandwiches and biscuits. I hope you get everywhere on time and bring us some snow.

Happy Christmas from Brian Lawler, Rathnure, County Wexford, Ireland.
