WINTER FUN RUN/WALK
Bree Youth Club will be holding a winter Fun Run/Walk in aid of the Wexford Women’s and Men’s Refuge on December 30@ 1 p.m. We have a 10k for €5 and a 5k for €3 on offer for participants. Registration is from 11.45 a.m. to 12.45 p.m. in Bree Community Centre before the event. A great family day out with some lovely spot prizes on the day.
BREE PARISH JOURNAL
Bree Parish Journal No 18 is now on sale. The journal covers many of the events and activities in the area over the past two years as well as a number of items of historical interest. The cost of the journal is €8 and it is available in Byrnes Bree, Keeleys Ballybrennan, Londis Tomnalosset, Mace Killurin, Kavanaghs and Greenes Clonroche, Freeman’s Oylegate and also in the Bookshops in Enniscorthy and Wexford.
BREE MACRA
Happy New Year from Bree Macra. The club had a very successful year with a big jump in membership and in participation. Club members continue to take part in weekly sports nights on Wednesday (Volleyball in Galbally) ad Friday (Indoor soccer in Enniscorthy). Bree represented the county in various National Competitions such as public speaking, gaelic football, capers, quiz and soccer. At Easter we hosted our senior citizens Tea Party. The highlight of the year was the ladies winning the all-Ireland Indoor Soccer Title.
Upcoming events for the club include Volleyball, Debating, Capers and the Personality weekends. Club members want to thank everyone who has supported the club throughout the year, a special thank you to Dicey Reillys Puerto del Carmen for sponsoring new club jerseys. Anyone interested in getting involved with the club is welcome to come along to any of our events or check us out on Facebook.
SMART FITNESS
Christmas Timetable available on Facebook page ‘Smart Fitness with Collette’ Classes will finish after Thursday, December 21, class and restart Wednesday the 27th (time TBC) and Friday the 29th at 11 a.m. Classes will resume Tuesday, January 2, at 7 p.m.
