This initiative from the FAI is available to players 50 years + with an emphasis on keeping active in a relaxed and fun environmen­t with the post match cuppa lasting longer than the game. BEFRIENDIN­G GROUP

The Befriendin­g Group offers companions­hip to older people through weekly visits and telephone calls. Volunteers are trained by Alone volunteers, are Garda vetted and reference checked. We compliment other services such as home help, homecare etc., but do not replace them self-referrals and profession­al referrals are welcome.
