Chamber is flooded with information on projects

-

MEMBERS OF Wexford Chamber got the chance to voice their observations on the issue of water infrastructure in Wexford when they met with representatives from Irish Water.

Irish Water representatives, both national and local, met with the Chamber to outline the work they have achieved in the area.

Following the briefing, Chamber President Niall Reck said: ‘The briefing enabled the Chamber to learn about the business opportunities that a robust water infrastructure will bring to the area.’

He said the adequate provision of water had been a challenge for the business community but Irish Water had made progress in addressing these infrastructure needs by commencing vital projects. He added that continued improvements would be crucial in the coming years as the economy grew and businesses expanded.

‘The briefing offered us the opportunity to learn about the work currently being undertaken and about plans for the future.’

Darragh Murphy, Business Communications Manager for Irish Water, said: ‘This is a fantastic oportunity to update the Chamber on the investment in water services at a national and local level. It’s also an opportunity to connect with businesses to inform them of improvements to service and supply, and the proposed regulatory changes in the sector.’
