ICA GUILD NOTES

The February meeting of the Kilrane-Rosslare Harbour ICA Guild was held on Wednesday, February 7, in Kilrane National School. Kay Creane president welcomed all members to the meeting and thanked the principal for the use of the school.

Bowling, Cycling and walking are continuing. Aqua aerobics will re-commence shortly.

Mary O’Byrne, Mary Kirwan and Catherine Grogan represente­d the guild at the Federation table quiz in Camross on February 8.

14 members of the guild attended the Federation Lunch in the Tablot Hotel on February 11 and had a most enjoyable afternoon. Carmel Lonergan and Maeve O’Brien won prizes in the draw.

Maura O’Connor updated the members regarding the Yarnbombin­g taking place in the Bullring during Internatio­nal Women’s Week. The guild are sharing and decorating a tree with Ballyanne Guild.

Aideen Quigley won the raffle and Betty Halligan won the competitio­n.

Two representa­tives from the bank of Ireland attended the meeting and gave a very interestin­g presentati­on with advice regarding security and Banking online. Nuala Wickham thanked them for attending and the valuable informatio­n.

The next meeting of the guild will be held on Wednesday, March 7, in the community centre Kilrane. New members are always welcome.
