Not covered on mother’s car

Katie Kehoe (25) of 90 Hazelwood, Bridgetown admitted a motor insurance offence dating back to last April when she attended Wexford District Court.

The offender was caught at a checkpoint in The Dirr on the morning of April 6.

Solicitor Tim Cummings offered an explanation, telling the judge that his client had taken her mother’s car out that day as the engine on her own vehicle had blown.

The young mother believed that she was covered but this turned out not to be the case.

She was fined €200.
