Caught speeding on the double

-

Two speeding convictions were recorded against Darragh Bottomley of Ballindinas, Barntown when summonses were considered at the District Court.

Judge John Cheatle was told that the offender exceeded the 80 km/h limit when a vehicle owned by his girlfriend Michaela Roche hit 89 km/h on St Patrick’s night last year.

Bottomley’s name cropped up again on the court list, this time for an offence detected in the 50 km/h zone at Bosheen Road in New Ross where a speed of 65 km/h was noted.

Fines of €80 were imposed, a total bill of €160, to be paid within four months.
