The parade

The oldest parade in the country will feature a host of groups and clubs with hundreds of people taking part. The event will feature bands, sports groups, scouts and guides, the Defence Forces and the Force may even be with some of the participants. The parade first took place in 1904. The parade will start at the slightly earlier time of 10.45 a.m. this year, finishing by 12.30 p.m. The parade will take its usual route from Maudlintown to Redmond Square with plenty of great viewing points for spectators en route.
