The Kilrane-Rosslare Harbour Tops/Variety Show is on Thursday and Friday, March 22, and 23, in Our Lady’s Island Community Hall at 8 p.m. A feast of music, dance, song and comedy. Congratulations to Livy Mulvin on winning €164 in last week’s split-the-pot draw. Livy very kindly donated the money back to parish funds – many thanks. Draw takes place in the community centre on Sunday after Mass.
GAA CLUB BINGO

BALLYCOGLEY PLAYERS
Well what a hectic schedule we have had over the last few weeks with our festival play, ‘The Night Alive’ by Conor McPherson. To date we have taken part in seven of our eight festivals and the good news is that we have had fantastic results, as follows.
Third place in Rush, with an adjudicators award for Con Doyle and nominations for best technical, Seán Carthy, best actor and Trish Boyce, best actress; fourth place in Lislea, plus Best supporting actor, Seán Carthy and Best Stage Manager, Paddy McGuire. Nominations: Best lighting, Nick Hayes and Best technical, Laura Hayes, Best newcomer, Colm Doyle, Best Actor, Chris Maddock and Best Actress, Trish Boyce.
First place in Wexford, plus Best director Breda Hayes, Best Actor and Best Wexford performance Seán Carthy, Best Newcomer Colm Doyle, Best Set. Nominations: Best Actor Chris Maddock and Best Actress Trish Boyce. Ballinamore result: Second place, Best Actor Seán Carthy. Nominations: Best supporting actor Con Doyle and Colm Doyle, Best actor Chris Maddock and Best Actress Trish Boyce, Best Director Breda Hayes.
Kildare result: First place, Best director Breda Hayes, Best Actor Chris Maddock, Best Supporting Actor Seán Carthy and Best costuming/presentation/set.
Last Thursday we took part in the New Ross festival and Saturday in Shercock, Co.Cavan. This Wednesday, March 21, we take to the stage in Portadown. We are having an absolute ball and enjoying every second of this journey. Keep an eye on our Facebook page for more results and updates.
