Camogie stars are models on and off the field of play!
MODEL COUNTY FASHION SHOW IN TREACY’S
WHILE the ladies from the Wexford Camogie team are quite used to togging out, they did so in a different way recently as they took a turn on the catwalk in the Model County Fashion Show at Treacy’s Hotel’s D-Bar.
The girls swapped studs for stilettos and hurleys for handbags as they did their thing on the catwalk in this special fundraiser for Wexford Camogie.
There was a great attendance and a wonderful atmosphere on the night, perhaps aided by the novelty that it was the first Good Friday where people could enjoy a drink as they took in the glamour and style from a range of Wexford’s finest boutiques and clothes shops.
The red carpet was well and truly rolled out by sponsors Treacy’s Hotel and the big crowd in attendance were treated to some bubbly and cheese on arrival.
Among those exhibiting on the night were Ruby Rouge Gorey, Put a Bow On It Enniscorthy, Vila Enniscorthy, Runaway Bride Wexford and Murt Walsh Menswear Enniscorthy. There was plenty of interest in the clothes on display as they showed off all the very latest trends which are set to be big this summer.
It is no wonder that Wexford is referred to as the ‘model’ county as the players and management took to the catwalk with ease, proving that just maybe they might be just as comfortable on the catwalks of Paris or Milan as on a muddy GAA pitch in Ferns!
The amount raised from the event is still being tallied at this point, but organisers were delighted with the level of support shown to the event. They wish to thank everyone who came along on the night, sponsors Treacy’s Hotel, models, exhibitors and everyone who had a hand in making the evening the ‘model’ fundraiser.
