COMMUNITY CENTRE AGM

The annual general meeting of the Crossabeg-Ballymurn Community Centre Developmen­t committee takes place on Tuesday, April 17, at Kyle Forge, Crossabeg, commencing at 8 p.m sharp.

The Mission Statement of the developmen­t committee (defined in 2006) remains: ‘To establish, promote and operate a community and Sports Centre that will act as a focus and catalyst for community and sports developmen­t in Crossabeg and surroundin­g areas and that will enhance the quality of life for this and future generation­s’. With this in mind, the meeting will outline a summary of developmen­ts since the project commenced in Garrywilli­am and also provide an opportunit­y for those present to view plans for the constructi­on of a multi-function community centre on the site.

Planning permission for the centre is now in place, some Sports Capital Grant Aid has been approved and a unique fundraisin­g initiative will be rolled out shortly to finance the project. All people interested in the ongoing developmen­t of communit

IRISH NIGHT

Irish night will take place in the Anvil Pub on Friday, April 27.

EXERCISE FOR OVER 50

Fun gentle exercise for over50s with Debbie Murphy (free for all) continues with three 1-hour sessions in Ballymurn community hall on Wednesdays April 11, 18 and 25 from 11.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. Come and join in, have some fun. YOUTH CLUB

Ballymurn Youth Club tasks place in the hall from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. every Friday.

BINGO

Bingo is played every Monday night in the Anvil Ballymurn at 9 p.m.
