Arrested for own safety
Timmy Stafford (18) from Jacketstown in Drinagh had no conviction recorded against him after he was found intoxicated in public.
The teenager found himself facing public order prosecution at the District Court arising from his behaviour on July 15 last.
The garda who arrested Stafford for his own safety on the night in question in Wexford noted that the young man appeared drunk. The accused told the garda he had been drinking Jack Daniels and smoking cannabis.
He was wearing dark clothing as he made his way on foot towards his home in Drinagh.
The offence was admitted and Judge Gerard Haughton allowed Stafford the benefit of the Probation Act.
