First recital by classical duo will be an Irish debut
MUSIC LOVERS are in for a major treat this coming weekend when two of the world’s foremost classical musicians make their Irish debut in Wexford.
Franco-Spanish guitarist, Thibaut Garcia, and German cellist, Isang Enders, will perform in St. Iberius Church at 3.30 p.m. on Sunday, April 22. The performance will give concert-goers the chance to witness the two formidable performers in an intimate setting. Garcia (23) is being hailed as ‘the new face of classical guitar’ with numerous first place finishes in some of the world’s foremost music competitions while Isang Enders was only 20 when he was appointed to the position of Principal Cello with the Dresden Staatskapelle when he was just 20-years-of-age.
Tickets for the concert, which is being organised by Music for Wexford in conjunction with Music Network, are priced €14, and are available from the National Opera House through 053-9122144 or online at www.nationaloperahouse.ie
