Joan O’Brien (11) has overcome great difficulty and loss in her young life. A selfless young lady, she puts others, especially her mother, before herself. She has a pleasant and bubbly demeanour. She has beautiful handwriting and is a gifted singer. Her socially mature attitude to life endears her to all who she meets.
