Sinnott hat-trick fires Cushinstown into final four
LFA Junior Shield
The prolific Nicky Sinnott fired Cushinstown into the last four of the LFA Junior Shield as they saw off Allenwood Celtic in County Kildare on Sunday.
The striker hit a hat-trick for the Wexford representatives, who fought back from two goals down to win a thriller 3-2.
The hosts scored directly from a free-kick to lead 1-0 at half-time and then doubled their advantage from another dead ball after the interval.
Ten minutes later Cushinstown were handed the lifeline they craved when Jason Dunne was taken down for a penalty and Sinnott made no mistake from twelve yards.
Cushinstown were back on level terms 15 minutes later when Sinnott ran on to a pinpoint through ball from Seán McGrath and finished with aplomb.
Sinnott completed his hat-trick with five minutes remaining, firing home a free-kick to send his side into the semi-final.
