COMMUNITY LOTTO

There was no winner of last week’s jackpot of €10,000. The winning numbers were 1, 13, 15 and 19. There was six matchthree winners who received €35 each. The winners were Paul Stone, Damien Nolan, Lynda McDonald, Sinéad Burke, Liam Carroll and Eamonn Mullins. The next lotto draw will be held on Tuesday, April 17, and the jackpot now stands at €10,200.

RATHANGAN NS

FASTNET ROVERS FC

We are holding an informatio­n night on our plans to build a new clubhouse on Thursday, April 17, at 7 p.m. in Rathangan Hall. To carry out this ambitious project we will need community support. We cannot do this without you and look forward to sharing the plans and getting your backing to proceed.

MUSIC FESTIVAL

South East Music Festival is pleased to announce that tickets for our 2018 festival are currently on sale in the following local outlets: Rathangan hall, The Cenacle, John Sinnott and Martina Furlong. The tickets are an ideal present for family and friends.

‘October 2000’, a history of St Anne’s GAA Club, with stories that stretch back to the 1800s is currently on sale in all shops in the parish of Rathangan and Kilmore. DANCE SCHOOL

The defibrilla­tors in the parish are located as follows: Rathangan – on the school wall, beside the door nearest to Rathangan crossroads. Cleariesto­wn – at the church on the side wall facing the community centre. Duncormick – on the wall of the former post office. Baldwinsto­wn – on the wall of the shop. MUSIC EXTRAVAGAN­ZA

A Music Extravagan­za takes place at Stafford’s of Tulllicann­a on Sunday, May 6, with music from 4 p.m. till late. This is a night not to be missed as there are a number of bands performing on the night with all proceeds from this unique event going to the Hope Cancer Support Centre, Enniscorth­y. Rosslare Strand COLLECTION THANKS

Rosslare Community Developmen­t Asscoation (RCDA) A huge thank you to the people of Rosslare Strand for their generosity at our Easter weekend church gate collection. The collection raised over €800; all proceeds will be invested in the ongoing developmen­t and maintenanc­e of the community centre. Field day date.

BEFRIENDIN­G GROUP

The Befriendin­g Group offers companions­hip to older people through weekly visits and telephone calls. Volunteers are trained by ‘Alone’, and are Garda vetted and reference checked. We complement other services such as home help, homecare etc., but do not replace them. Self-referrals and profession­al referrals are welcome. COIS BARRY HOUSE

Waves Art Group meet every Monday from 10.30 to 12.30 at Cois Barry Centre. Cost is 12 for six weeks, to include tea or coffee and heating. TIDY TOWNS

Tidy Towns is continuing with the work of clearing all the footpaths and Bridges of weeds and overhangin­g bushes. Work on clearing out and refreshing many of the flower beds is also under way. It is all community work and again we ask that all Residents including Business People Look after their own Patch.

Please take a note of the annual Community Clean up Day: Saturday, April 21, at car park starting at 11 a.m. and Finishing at 1 p.m. This is a great opportunit­y for everyone to get involved it will show that We Care for Rosslare. A quantity of Gloves and Pickers will be available.

Also for the same day we have organised a scrap Metal Collection, the Container, which is Solely for metal will be available in the car park (Saturday the 21st) from 11 a.m. till 4 p.m. when it has to be removed. No scrap can be left thereafter.
