GAA NOTES
The under-13 hurlers are out tonight (Tuesday) against St Anne’s in the first round of the championship at 7.15 at home. They are in the highest division this year (Division 1) so best of luck to the team and management. The under-15s play Craanford on Thursday in the first round of the hurling championship at 7.15 at home. On Friday evening, its the Junior Football Championship refixture against Monageer-Boolavogue. It is fixed for Farmleigh at 7.15. Then on Sunday the under-20 hurlers play in the first round of the championship against HWH Bunclody in Bunclody at 4 p.m.
The Minor (under-17) hurlers recently defeated the Shelmaliers by a point in the championship. The lads trailed by two points going into injury time but scored three points in quick succession to win the match in a epic comeback, Pad O’Connor getting the final score.
The junior footballers lost out in the first round of the championship to Castletown.
Pad O’Connor, Feidhlim Roche, Tomas Murphy, Aaron Culleton and Jake Nobbs were part of the St Peter’s College team who won a recent tournament in DCU Darren Byrne refereed the games.
The under-15 footballers defeated Duffry Rovers 3-04 to 1-08 to continue their good start, two wins from two.

Under-seven training is on every Wednesday night 6: 15 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the pitch. All new members welcome.
The annual Blackwater GAA Club golf classic is on Saturday, June 2, in St Helen’s Golf Club, Rosslare. Team of four is €200 and includes a meal. Lots of prizes to be won.
