COMMUNITY LOTTO

There was no winner of last week’s jackpot of €10,000. The winning numbers were 1, 13, 15 and 19. There were six matchthree winners who received €35 each. The winners were Paul Stone, Damien Nolan, Lynda McDonald, Sinéad Burke, Liam Carroll and Eamonn Mullins. The next lotto draw will be held on Tuesday, April 17, and the jackpot now stands at €10,200.

Rathangan NS Enrolment 2018 Applicatio­ns for enrolment for St Anne’s NS are now being accepted for September 2018. Enrolment forms are available from the school office – call in or ring Jenny at 051 563167 or from the school website – stannesns. weebly.com.

MUSIC FESTIVAL

The South East Music Festival is pleased to announce that tickets for our 2018 festival are currently on sale in the following local outlets: Rathangan hall, The Cenacle, John Sinnott and Martina Furlong. The tickets are an ideal present for family and friends.

OCTOBER 2000.

‘October 2000’, a history of St Anne’s GAA Club, with stories that stretch back to the 1800s is currently on sale in all shops in the parish of Rathangan and Kilmore. Also available in Wallaces SuperValu and Costcutter­s Wellington­bridge, McGee’s Quickpick and Eurospar Taghmon and in School of Office Supplies, The Book Centre and Byrne’s Bookshop Wexford.

DANCE SCHOOL

Next Level Dance School will be starting hip-hop dance classes in Rathangan Hall every Thursday from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. For more info check out Next Level Dance School on Facebook.

DEFIBRILLA­TOR NEWS

The defibrilla­tors in the parish are located as follows: Rathangan – on the school wall, beside the door nearest to Rathangan crossroads. Cleariesto­wn – at the church on the side wall facing the community centre. Duncormick – on the wall of the former post office. Baldwinsto­wn – on the wall of the shop. The contact number for a call out is 086 4011688. Volunteers are always encouraged and welcome to join the team.

SAFEGUARDI­NG CHILDREN

Thank you to all those who volunteer in our churches and halls. Your work is invaluable to our parish. As part of our commitment and requiremen­t to protect children, we are presently distributi­ng confidenti­al forms to these volunteers. It would be much appreciate­d if you could return these to the box in the church at your earliest convenienc­e. LITTLE BREECHES

Little Breeches Preschool and Montessori, Rathangan, are now taking bookings for September 2018. Little Breeches is a sessional service that provides care and education for children aged between 2.5 years and six years. There will be a public informatio­n night on safety in the home/ crime prevention and Community Text Alert/Neighbourh­ood Watch hosted jointly by Muintir na Tire and An Garda Síochána in Cleariesto­wn Community Centre on Tuesday, May 15, at 8 p.m. – everyone welcome.

COFFEE MORNING

The Cousins Family are hosting a coffee morning in Aid of Wexford Hospice on Sunday, May 6, at Kilmore Community Hall from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. We will also have a raffle on the day with some lovely prices so come along to tell your friends. MUSIC EXTRAVAGAN­ZA

A Music Extravagan­za takes place at Stafford’s of Tulllicann­a on Sunday, May 6, with music from 4 p.m. till late. This is a night not to be missed as there are a number of bands performing on the night with all proceeds from this unique event going to the Hope Cancer Support Centre, Enniscorth­y. Clean up in Duncormick in preparatio­n for Tidy Town’s Competitio­n will commence on Thursday next, April 26, at 7 p.m. Meet in village beside Sinnott’s Pub. McCall’s Cottages

There will be a Mass of celebratio­n and a blessing of the cottages on Friday, May 18, at 7 p.m. in the evening. It will take place in the front lawn, weather permitting. Music, tea and refreshmen­ts afterwards. Welcome all.
