BEREAVEMEN­T

The sympathy of the community is extended to Eddie O’Connor and family and Mrs Katie Moran and family on the death of their sister Mrs Theresa Binions (née O’Connor), Ballyshane, Camolin and formerly Derry, The Ballagh, who died on April 29 and was buried in Camolin after Requiem Mass on Wednesday, May 2. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a hanam dílis.

SPLIT-THE-POT

ANNUAL PATRON

The patron in the Ballagh will be held, as usual, on the first Sunday of July, commencing at 2 p.m. The Oulart Patron will be held on Sunday, June 24.

UNDERAGE GAA/CAMOGIE

Well done to the under-13 hurlers on their away victory over Oylegate-Glenbrien in Round two, scoring six goals two points to two goals two points, on a wet and windy evening.

The under-15 team travelled to Craanford on Thursday, May 3, and won by three goals 14 points to four points while the schools’ Rackard League team defeated Rathnure by three goals nine points to one goal one point.

The under-16 camogie team, while performing very well, lost by six points to St Martin’s and will have their next match on Wednesday, May 16, at home to Kilrush.

NURSERY/TRAINING

Oulart-The Ballagh GAA and camogie club Nursery and Training got off to a great start on Friday, May 4, in Oulart, for boys ages four to five (born 2013 and 2014) and girls aged four to six (born 2012,2013 and 2014).

Parents/guardians/volunteers are invited to help and get involved. Even if your child missed the first session they are still welcome to attend.
