THE Gorey Adult Education Centre is now enrolling for its September training programmes.
The centre offers a wide range of both full and part time training programmes that cater for all ages, educational levels and subject interests.
So, whether you are interested in applying for a training programme, thinking about getting back into education or just looking for some information, drop into the Gorey Adult Education Centre located by the Gorey Civic Centre on the Avenue or for more information check out www. waterfordwexford.etb.ie or contact 0539421791
Vocational Training Opportunity Scheme (VTOS) – Full-time
Further education courses are ideal for second chance adult learners over the age of 21 and not in employment. Mature students and early school leavers often pursue VTOS with the intention of trying a new career or area of study before committing to a third level degree. Equally many VTOS learners acquire skills and knowledge that allows them to progress directly to employment in a range of areas.
The Vocational Training Opportunity Scheme (VTOS) in Gorey, will be available to talk to the public on the 24th May about supports on offer in their Centre, where adult students can learn about study skills and how to write assignments, often a daunting task for people who have not been in education in recent years or may have left school early.
Go on take the first step for your future!
Back to Education Initiative (BTEI) - PARTTIME courses
Back to Education Initiative is about setting the wheels of development in motion, not just academically, but in all aspects of the learner’s life – personal, emotional and social. It is about increasing awareness of existing opportunities, changing mindsets, building confidence and relationships, empowerment and not least, advancing education levels.
We will be available to talk on the 24th May in the Further Education and Training Centre, Civic Square about planned parttime courses for September – Office Skills, Skills for Shop work, Culinary Skills and Engineering Skills.
