Plans for Wexford’s quay being drawn up

-

A FINAL report into what Wexford County Council plans to do to improve the quays area of Wexford will be available in late June.

The Wexford Quays Economic and Spatial Strategy is being designed by architects Scott Tallon Walker, which has submitted a second section of the report to the council. The document has been reviewed with some comments and recommendations returned to the architects.

Council CEO Tom Enright told a recent meeting of Wexford County Council that the final report is due by the end of June.

Meanwhile, a package of improvement works in the Crescent Quay area is being formulated as the first phase of the overall plan for the quayfront area.

People will be able to have their say on the plans, which will see the quays area linked with the Main Street in an attractive way for pedestrians, later this month.
