NEW Ross Credit Union recognises the costs that further education incurs. To help in some small way, the interest rate we charge on Further Education Loans is 6%, which is 4.5% less than our standard interest rate.

Sample - €5,000 Further Education Loan @ 6% variable (APR 6.18%), repayments of €27.06 per week over 4 years, cost of credit €627.24, total amount to be repaid €5,627.24.

A guarantor is usually re- quired and their suitability will be considered on an individual basis, and at the discretion of New Ross Credit Union. Mature students may not need a guarantor. Availing of a Further Education Loan and servicing the repayments of the loan in a proper manner helps to establish a credit history for the student which will be to their benefit in later life.

Lump sums can be repaid, without penalties or fees, and there is no charge for completing the loan ahead of schedule.
