TODDY REMEMBERED

Toddy Moore was remembered at a friendly game of bowls in the Stella Maris Centre on Tuesday the 15th where Enniscorthy were the visitors for the game with the local Kilmore ARA members. There was a very good crowd present for this remembrance occasion where the result was unimportant and everybody who wished to, got a game.

A photographic display of Toddies lifetime in sporting events was on view and received plenty of attention. Over the tea and goodies, looked after by the ladies there were many stories told and even a song or two was rendered by members from both camps in what was a most enjoyable afternoon for which we thank Enniscorthy for partaking in.

ACTIVE RETIREMENT

Kilmore ARA members enjoyed a visit to a snail farm and Grange Greens Garden Centre on Wednesday last in Grange. It was a very enjoyable and enlightening evening with the ‘crawly’ creatures’ and which are a treat on the table for many in England and Europe. Our thanks to Deirdre and Noel for the tour and Margaret for the tea afterwards.

We are holding a coffee afternoon and fun table quiz on Wednesday the 23rd at 2.30 p.m. in Mary Barry’s to which all are invited. No charge on the quiz just the ‘goodies’.

Reminder that names of those wishing to attend visit to the Dail on June 12 should be booked immediately. The host evening by Piercetown/Murntown ARA fixed for the Friday the 25th has been postponed due to the venue being used for the referendum.
