June Bank Holiday weekend at Loftus Hall

-

FOLLOWING the success of Loftus Hall’s inaugural Bealtaine Festival of Fire over the May Bank Holiday weekend, Ireland’s most haunted house is looking forward to welcoming friends and families throughout the June Bank Holiday weekend.

With the gardens in full bloom and resplendent in colour and fragrance, visitors will have the opportunity to take a stroll through the newly restored walled garden and discover the flora and fauna that was a prominent feature in the gardens back in the 17th century.

“In the 17 th century Henry Loftus took great care in enclosing the gardens to preserve newly planted fruit trees with high stone walls. We have restored the five-acre garden in the spirit of the period and planted trees, flowers and shrubs that would have been available to Henry Loftus in the 17 th century,” said owner Aidan Quigley.

Coupled with this the newly restored Courtyard will have a BBQ for hungry visitors and live music over the weekend.

“We are delighted to introduce a real family, fun filled aspect to the Hall. The Bealtaine Festival proved that locals and tourists not only have a huge appetite for the mystery surrounding Loftus Hall, but also the restored gardens which have really come into their own, despite the cold and long winter.”

“With Hooked by the Sea taking place on the Bank Holiday weekend also we expect the Peninsula to be a hive of activity. It’s testament to the local businesses and tourism providers who constantly strive to provide unique, free and exciting events, firmly establishing the beautiful Hook Peninsula as a first rate tourist destination.”

With free entry to the walled gardens all weekend, make Loftus Hall part of your Ireland’s Ancient East journey.
