MINOR FOOTBALL
Innovate Wexford park was the venue when Wexford took on Laois in an Electric Ireland Leinster minor football championship group two game. The game never really reached any great heights with many scoring chances squandered particularly by the visitors who led 0-7 to 0-2 at the break.
St Fintan’s man Jack O’Leary was ahalf time substitute and his goal seemed to lift the home side leaving a scoreline of 0-10 to 1-03. Laois were to score just one more point and a Wexford goal near full time was to leave the visitors with something to worry about but when the full time whistle sounded Laois had claimed a deserved victory 0-11 to 2-03.
ALL BLACKS AFC

Congratulations to our fantastic under-14 boys who won the Wexford Cup against an excellent Forth Celtic team on a 3: 0 Scoreline. The boys put Celtic on the back foot from the start and with our defence in no mood to concede were outstanding throughout they came close with Tadhg McDonald, Tadhg Deegan bringing excellent saves from Harry Quirke the Celtic keeper. Celtic continued to to make it difficult to get in behind till Tadgh Hayes put Kyle Rankin in down the right and he finished to put us one up. Shortly after Cathal Parker delivered a pin point pass to Kyle, who broke from the halfway line and rounded the keeper to finish with great composure to make it 2: 0. at Halftime.
On the restart we continued to push for the third goal but the Celtic defence stood firm till Kyle completed his Hat-trick with a smashing left foot shot. Great team performance today from one to 16 all the boys were outstanding and Kyle was named man of the match. We now look forward to the 2019 campaign.
