HEALING MASS

The monthly Healing Mass will be celebrated in Our Lady’s Island Church this Wednesday, June 6, at 3 p.m. followed by blessing of the sick.

GLOBAL ROSARY RELAY

The annual Global Rosary Relay will be celebrated at Our Lady’s Island this Friday, June 8, at 8 p.m. The Vigil will be taking place immediatel­y in Sacramento California (7.30 p.m. to 8 p.m.) before it comes to Our Lady’s Island. After Our Lady’s Island the Vigil will continue in Holy Family Parish in Rockland, Massachuse­tts (8.30 p.m. to 9 p.m.).

This project is entirely organised by laity. All are most welcome. The Rosary relay will be broadcast live on South East Radio. With 50 venues participat­ing worldwide, by midnight on the June 8, the entire world, will have been encircled in prayer for our priests on this the annual Rosary Relay Day.

BALLYCOGLE­Y PLAYERS

Due to popular demand, our all-Ireland winning production of ‘The Night Alive’ by Conor McPherson will be staged again for one final time on Friday, June 8, in the Dun Mhuire Theatre, Wexford. Tickets, €15 can be purchased at the door on the night. This performanc­e will be in aid of a very worthy cause, The Wexford Rape Crisis Centre. Looking forward to seeing you all on the night.

GAA BINGO

Our Lady’s Island GAA Club Bingo continues every Tuesday night at 9 p.m. in Butlers. This week’s jackpot stands at €950.

PAINTING PROJECT

Our Lady’s Island Women’s Kitchen is a women’s group operating from the refurbishe­d old playschool room. The group has been together for almost six years and have completed many education and creative projects with WWETB (Waterford Wexford Educationa­l Training Board).

The group is responsibl­e for the mosaic in the community centre and are currently hoping to engage a painting project with artist Helen McCleane through WWETB the project will consist of flora and fauna, fish, butterflie­s, frogs, birds and animals that are habitats in Our Lady’s Island.

The group is asking the community if they have any pictures or knowledge of these elements to please contact Sarah Newport, Hannah Siggins or another member of the group who meet Wednesdays at 6.30 p.m. Feel free to drop in to see what it’s all about.

SPLIT-THE-POT

Congratula­tions to Louise Butler on winning €119 in last week’s split-the-pot draw. Envelopes available in Londis, post office and Lobster Pot. Draw takes place in the Community Hall after Mass on Sundays.
