BALLET ROCKS!

-

STUDENTS AT the Wexford School of Ballet and Performing Arts will combine ballet and rock music at the National Opera House later this month for their annual school show.

‘Ballet Rocks’ will showcase the talent of the school’s dancers while also paying tribute to the world’s rock legends, including: Led Zeppelin, Bon Jovi, Queen, Prince, Gary Moore, and many others from the golden oldie era, as well as more up to date music such as Imagine Dragons, Fall Out Boy, Red Hot Chilli Peppers and more.

Choreographers from the school have been working with the students for weeks in preparation for the show.

The school previously staged ‘The Nutcracker’ back in December and, more recently, students were hard at work for their exams in ballet, modern dance, and singing.

This year’s show will be followed by a summer school in August, the return of classes in September and the staging of ‘Swan Lake’ for their December performance this year.

Tickets are on sale now and booking is advised as the show runs for one night only, June 30, at 8 p.m. Tickets are available online or from the National Opera House box office.
