Fined €250 for insurance offence

MOTORIST Aleksandrs Krumpans (34) of 6 Abbey Court, George’s Street, Wexford could not avoid prosecution by pulling into a lay-by.

Gardaí on duty in Coolcotts last November noticed his manoeuvre and discovered that he had no insurance for the car he was driving.

The District Court was told by solicitor Sean Lowney that Krumpans had cover for another car but that it was in the garage at the time. Judge John Cheatle fined him €250 fine.
