Drove to doctors with no insurance

TAKING her sick children to the doctor’s proved expensive for Grace Diston with an address at 5 Carrigmann­on Woods, Glynn when her case was reviewed by Judge John Cheatle.

The two youngsters had chicken pox on March 1, 2017, solicitor Colette Culleton told the District Court as she entered a plea of guilty to a motor insurance summons.

Ms Diston took her then boyfriend’s car on the road, though the tax had expired the previous February and the NCT the previous May.

A fine of €250 was handed down.
