Pleaded guilty to drug pos­ses­sion

PA­TRICK KE­HOE (37) of 41 Cois na Mara, Ross­lare Strand was put un­der pro­ba­tion su­per­vi­sion af­ter ad­mit­ting drugs pos­ses­sion.

He pleaded guilty to hav­ing €100 worth of zanex tablets with­out pre­scrip­tion for sup­ply to oth­ers.

Ke­hoe was de­scribed by solic­i­tor Nigel Allen as a fa­ther of three, the old­est child be­ing 13 years of age.

Wex­ford Dis­trict Court also heard that the ac­cused man was on a methadone pro­gramme, and that the zanex was for distri­bu­tion to friends and not for sell­ing.

Judge John Chea­tle ac­cepted that a rel­a­tively small amount of the drug was in­volved as he put the de­fen­dant on pro­ba­tion for a year.
