Bedroom ransacked in Carcur burglary

AN upstairs bedroom of a house in the Carcur area was ransacked during an afternoon burglary last week. Wexford gardaí are investigating the incident which occurred at around 4 p.m. on Wednesday.

A garda spokesperson said the householder’s alarm company was alerted and when the owner returned home the upstairs bedroom was found to be ransacked. Entry was gained through the conservatory.

Meanwhile, at around 7.30 p.m. on Wednesday a homeowner at Carcur Cottages had a scare when she went to the front door to investigate why her dog was barking.

‘She went into the sitting room and when she opened the front door there was a man standing there who ran off,’ said the spokesperson.
