At any time of the year the village and quay are great places to visit but in summer time they really come into their own with even the spectacle of working fishing boats coming in-and-out of the harbour offering scenes of interest to visiting onlookers.

Due to their location Kilmore village and Kilmore Quay have a wide variety of attractions to offer visitors with plenty to do to keep all members of the family entertained.

Ballycross Apple Farm is only a few minutes away, near the village of Bridgetown, and it’s well worth a visit - especially for parents with young children as the farm’s wildlife is very popular in addition to the fantastic range of apples, fruit and juices available on-site.

The farm can trace its origins back to 1863 and is often referred to as a ‘hidden treasure’.

Pubs like Mary Barry’s Seafood Bar and Restaurant or Kehoe’s Seafood Bar are renowned for quality of their food and service while the likes of Bridgetown Pharmacy and Kehoe Marine ensure that the general Kilmore area has everything you will need to ensure your visit to the region is as memorable and hassle-free as possible.

Live music is never too far away with local pubs and the Coast Hotel offering up plenty in the way of live entertainment. However, it’s the laid-back nature of the area that is the most compelling aspect of Kilmore.

Obviously, seafood is a big deal in the area, which is renowned for the quality it offers people, and there are many award-winning restaurants in the region offering a wide selection of locally caught fresh fish along with other traditional and international dishes.

There is a warmth in the welcome you will receive in Kilmore that is unlike anywhere else in the country and visitors are always made to feel part of the place.

There are many craft shops in the vicinity where one can pick up lovely little souvenirs as keepsakes.

County Wexford is one of the best places to live, work or visit in the country and within that Kilmore is one of its star attractions. One would find it difficult to find a more suitable or better place to spend time with family. It’s the type of place that was made for magical summer days.
