Wa­ter Buf­falo in Wex­ford!! Based near the pic­turesque vil­lage of Bal­ly­gar­rett, Ma­camore Buf­falo is one of only three Buf­falo farms in Ire­land. This fam­ily run, fourth gen­er­a­tion farm spe­cialises in pro­duc­ing the unique and pure taste of Buf­falo meat. The farm is man­aged by Liam & Sinead Byrne. The name Ma­camore Buf­falo comes from the type of soil that is unique to this part of Wex­ford, and is known lo­cally as ‘’The Ma­camores’’.

The nu­tri­tional and health ben­e­fit of eat­ing Wa­ter buf­falo meat re­ally im­pressed the Byrnes and they de­cided to im­port a herd with a view to bring­ing this unique of­fer­ing to the Ir­ish con­sumer. Buf­falo meat is high in pro­tein & iron whilst be­ing low in fat and choles­terol. Prod­uct De­scrip­tion Ma­camore Buf­falo of­fers the full range of all your favourite meat cuts. From hearty sage and onion din­ner sausages to their fa­mous 6oz ‘’noth­ing but the meat’’ burg­ers. They also pro­vide T-bone steaks, ground mince, steak pieces, sir­loin, striploin, rib eye and fil­let steak. Roasts are also avail­able and for the real meat lover in your life….you have to try the Ma­camore Buf­falo 16oz Tom­a­hawk steak.

Ma­camore Buf­falo is avail­able in sev­eral eater­ies in Dublin and along the east coast. In April 2018, the Byrne’s opened a new pur­pose built cold room and farm shop, where cus­tomers can pur­chase fresh buf­falo meat in the true ‘’farm to fork’’ spirit. They are also mem­bers of the Wex­ford Food Fam­ily, Good Food Ire­land and have en­tered into this years Glass Na Heire­ann as well as be­ing short listed the 2018 Wex­ford Cham­ber of Com­merce Busi­ness awards.
