BATTLE OF VINEGAR HILL

Redcoats and Rebels will face off at Vinegar Hill in Enniscorthy once again as the Vinegar Hill Battle re-enactment takes place from 2 p.m. It promises to be a real spectacle and will include cavalry assaults, cannon bombardments, musket volleys and realistic pike charges. GAELSCOIL CHARMAN RUN

Gaelscoil Charman will host its second annual 5k fun run/walk.

This is a fun family event; runners and walkers of all fitness levels are welcome. The race will start at St Joseph’s Community Centre at 11 a.m. Registration opens at 9.30 p.m. Parking is available at St Joseph’s. Refreshments in Gaelscoil Charman afterwardAll-Ireland Farmer’s Market

The all-Ireland Farmer’s Market once again comes to Abbey Square in Enniscorthy and will see food producers and specialists from all over the country taking part. They will all be vying for the prize of a magnificent Waterford Crystal Trophy, sponsored by Wexford IFA the fun will get under way from 10 a.m. and will run till 4 p.m. when the winners will be announced.

GLYNN NS FUN RUN

The fun run will take place on June 17 at midday, leaving from the parish hall. All funds raised will go towards the building of a new PE Hall for the school.

WORLD MEETING OF FAMILIES FUN DAY.

A family fun day takes place at Innovate Wexford Park from 2.30 p.m. to 4.30 p.m. A number of bands will play, sporting events will take place, and kids can get a tour of the dressing room and the park.

UPTOWN GIRL

Rathnure Panto Society is back with its huge summer musical Uptown Girl at Rathnure Hall at 7.45 p.m. See June 15 for details.

FATHER’S DAY AT WELLS HOUSE

DANCE NIGHT

Join Jimmy Buckley for toe tapping dance night in the Ashdown Park Hotel, Gorey, at 9.30 p.m. Tickets are €15 and available from the hotel.

IMT SUMMER SHOWCASE

The Irish College of Music Theatre (IMT) will present a performance by the first cohort of Wexford students in the Jerome Hynes Theatre at the National Opera House at 7 p.m. Tickets are priced €22.50/€20 (concession).
