Motorist disqualified for drink driving offence
A DRINK drive conviction drew a fine of €100 for Jean O’Sullivan (63) of 9 Lakelands, Bridgetown.
The offence was detected at a mandatory checkpoint at Bridgetown on July 16, 2016 when she failed a roadside breath test.
Solicitor Caitriona Walsh pointed out that the alcohol reading determined by analysis of a more formal urine sample was quite low.
The court learned that Ms O’Sullivan’s main occupation is as a carer.
Judge Kevin Staunton reckoned that the accused was a decent individual before recording the conviction with an order disqualifying her from driving for a year.
