Man had 24 previous motoring convictions

A RECORD of 24 previous convictions was mentioned in court as John Travers of Ballinaslaney, Oylegate was prosecuted for failure to display a current tax disc.

The offence dealt with in his absence at the District Court dated back to February of last year when he encountered a garda checkpoint in Kereight.

The list of past motoring convictions included least one similar offence and the court was told that Travers current- ly stands disqualified from driving.

He was fined €150 on his occasion, with three months allowed for payment.
