MAN AND WOMAN APPEAR IN COURT CHARGED WITH A NUMBER OF CRIMES

A PAIR were brought before Judge Kevin Staunton at the District Court last week having been charged with a number of crimes.

Sandra Lawlor (23) of Ballyellan­d, Davidstown, was charged stealing €751 from Ali Max Laundry in Ferndale at some point between June 30 and July 1 and burglary of the Montessori at Carriglea, Coolcotts on July 4 last.

Meanwhile, a co-accused, Ross Nolan, currently of no fixed abode, Wexford, was also charged with the burglary on the Montessori, as well as stealing €106 cash from 17 Oak Tree Rise, Coolcotts and a roll worth €4 from Pettitt’s, St Aidan’s, Wexford.

Lawlor was granted bail on the charges on the condition that she sign on at Wexford Garda Station on Monday, Wednesday and Fridays, reside at Ballyellan­d, Davidstown and stay out of Wexford town after 5 p.m. each evening. She was remanded to appear again on July 23 in Wexford.

Meanwhile, solicitor Lana Doherty consented to a remand in custody for Nolan saying that she would reserve the right to make a bail applicatio­n at a later date.
