Lady produces a flawless run

Masterexplorer wins again

-

THERE WAS a good attendance at Enniscorthy Greyhound Track on both nights last week, with patrons enjoying the glorious weather.

The second round of the Whitewood Unraced Stake on Monday night made for very interesting racing, with some that made mistakes the first night turning the form around this time.

Heat one saw an excellent run from Masterexplorer who followed up the previous week’s fine win by again leading hot favourite Hard Luck James.

He was always in control, running out a very comfortable three and a half lengths clear of the latter in a fast 28.88.

Trap six runner Boderan Daisy ran on well to grab third spot and may be one to note, as an inside draw would be far more preferable.

Heat two saw another hot favourite defeated as Karlow Mike was eliminated. Flawless Lady flew the lids from her trap four box to lead, and she ran out a snug winner in a time of 29.35 and the nice odds of 6-1.

Heat three saw some good market support for trap two runner Galloping Moon, and it was justified as she scored an easy five-length win. After a good break she was never in any danger after that, and the time was 29.24.

Heat four saw another runner that was beaten in the first round score as the well-supported Cill Dubh Choice led up from her tricky trap five draw to run out a very easy winner in a good 28.90. This week’s semi will be very competitive as the cream rises to the top.
