CELTIC ROOTS

A ‘Full Irish’ show in associatio­n with Celtic Roots will begin in Bree Hall this on Tuesday, July 10. Tea and scones are served at 8.30 p.m. and the night’s entertainm­ent begins at 9 p.m. with music, song, dance and storytelli­ng. The show will be presented each Tuesday night during July and August. Admission is €10 for adults with concession­s for children and groups. For bookings contact 087 7535354.

CHURCH NEWS

Papal Mass: The parish is organising a bus to attend the Papal Mass in the Phoenix Park on Sunday, August 26, Bookings can be made through the parish office. A small fee of €15 towards the cost of the bus will apply. All events around the Papal visit are ticketed; however if you are travelling with the parish on the coach we will provide the tickets. We will advise closer to the date our departure time as we are awaiting more informatio­n with regard to the transport plan for the event. Copies of the overall itinerary are available in the church or on the World Meeting of families web page. At the back of the church you will find a prayer card to celebrate the World Meeting of families. Please feel free to bring one home with you.

Pilgrimage history: The book which was published to commemorat­e 50 pilgrimage­s from the diocese of Ferns to Lourdes is now available to purchase at a cost of €10 from Clonard parish office and the Bishop’s House Summerhill.

Our thanks to everyone who were hurling on the Quay last Saturday, June 30, especially Mam’s and Dads, who supported our Little Blues team.
