LES MISERABLES

Wexford Federation ICA have organised a Christmas outing to the Broadway hit musical production of Les Miserables in Bord Gais Energy Theatre, Dublin on Thursday, December 20. 2018, afternoon performanc­e at 2.30 p.m. Premium tickets, four course evening meal and coach €90 for ICA members and non-members €95.Interested? contact organiser, Breda Whelan, 086 3258386 or 053 9129681 asap. CAROREIGH FIELD DAY

The 50th Caroreigh field day will be held on Sunday, July 29, starting at 1.30 p.m. with Fancy Dress and Vintage Parade led by the New Ross and District Pipe Band.

All the usual stalls will be up and running, some have been there for the 50 years.

Old photograph­s are required as we will be reeling back the years, give same to Fr Robert as soon as possible. There will be a Tug o War competitio­n made of teams from areas in the half parish, so get training. Interested? contact Fr Robert. The usual Grand Draw will be held, tickets should be with parishione­rs by now.

The next meeting to arrange events will be held on Wednesday, July 11, 9 p.m., do come along please, all ideas and help very welcome.

ATHLETICS CLUB NOTES

Fantastic news today from Tullamore in the All Ireland Junior event. Padraig Hore finished third in both Shot putt and Discus. Threw 12.54 in shot putt and 42.12 in discus. Very well done Padraig.

CAMROSS DRAMA GROUP

The cast and director of our DLI One-Act Festival Play "Lucy in the Sky" has been rehearsing regularly even with the long, sunny summer evenings. While the One-Act festivals don’t start until October, we have been invited to perform with Wayside Players in Blackwater in August! That certainly got minds focussed on learning lines! So, pencil in your preview dates : Saturday 18th, Wednesdays 22nd and 29th August at 8pm in the Blackwater Hotel. Admission price TBA. As always, Like our Page on Facebook for updates.
