Kilmore ARA OUTING
Kilmore Active Retirement Association have arranged a day trip to County Waterford on Wednesday July 18. Venues to be visited are Waterford Crystal, the Viking Triangle, The ‘carved tree’ and then on to the Japanese Gardens in Tramore, finishing up with an evening meal on the way home. Non members would be welcome on this trip, so book in as soon as possible.
NOVENA/FESTIVAL
The annual novena and festival dedicated to St Anne runs from July 18 to July 26 in Tomhaggard. There will be Mass each evening at 7.30 p.m. except on Sunday the 22nd when the patron Mass is at 2 p.m. followed by the field day.
Fringe events in the Tomhaggard Social Centre include Pongo on the 18th, 19th, 25th and 26th. There will be a play called ‘Mrs Dooleys Table’ on Friday the 20th and a Barbecue hosted by the Scouts on the 21st. There will also be a movie night on Monday the 23rd.
The closing Mass will be open air in the grotto on Thursday the 26th. Further information is available in churches and shops in the Kilmore area and on our Tomhaggard Village Facebook page.
SCOUTS
Weekly meetings will resume again in September. The Scout section still have plenty of activities ahead as they head to Swansea Wales along with the Ventures for a week long camp, and then start preparing for the all-Ireland Scoutcraft competition in Limerick in August.
TABLE QUIZ
A fundraising table quiz will be held in Quigleys bar and lounge on Tuesday, July 10, at 8.30 p.m. The proceeds from the night are going to the Tomhaggard social centre. Your support would be very much appreciated.

Tennis doubles for adults will take place every Tuesdays at St Martin’s, beginners from 6.30 p.m. to 7.30 p.m. All other grades from 7.30 p.m. to 9 p.m. New players and former members welcome – pay-as-you-go only €2 per session.
LOTTO SYNDICATE
Murrintown Community Centre Development would like to invite you to participate in our Lottery Syndicate to raise much needed funds for the development of the Community Field. Membership of the Syndicate costs €240. The Syndicate will purchase 20 Euromillions Plus lines and 12 National Lottery lines each week.

Cúl Camps – This summer Our Lady’s Island/St Fintan’s Coiste na nÓg will host its first GAA. Cúl Camp. ST PAUL’S AC
We held our End of Season Awards and barbecue last Saturday and it was great to see so many attending. Our awards went to Gergley Pap for Juvenile Athlete of the Year and Emma Owens for our Senior Athlete of the Year. Our most improved athletes of the year went to Artem Kelly and Rob Stirling and finally our Club Person of the Year went to Leo Coy for all his hard work and fundraising throughout the year.
Congratulations and well done to Maeve Hayes, who competed in day one of the Wexford Senior County Track and Field Championships last Wednesday where she took to the track in her first 400m in the Novice Women’s category where she ran a fine race finishing in first place. Day two will take place this Wednesday, July 11, in Enniscorthy with registration starting at 6.30 p.m. Timetable of events is on our Facebook page.
We wish Maeve and Emma the best for Sunday when they will be competing as part of the Wexford Team in Round 2 of the National League in Athlone.
CARNE SWIM WEEK
Carne Swim Week will take place from July 16 to July 21. This is run by Wexford Water Safety. All levels from Swim 1 to 10 and Safety 1 to 4 will be catered for.
