-

LOCAL CLUBS and organisations are being encouraged to apply for inclusion in the Healthy Town Hub, an illustrated map of health and wellbeing in Wexford town, as part of the Pfizer Healthy Town initiative.

The map will showcase a sample of the health and wellbeing-related services that are available in Wexford town. It will also depict key landmarks and, when complete, will be an accessible, fun celebration of what the town has to offer in terms of healthy living.

Calling on local clubs, groups and businesses to get involved, Paul Reid, Managing Director at Pfizer Ireland said: ‘To kick off this year’s Healthy Town programme, we are calling on all local health-related organisations to help us build the Wexford town Healthy Town Hub. This map is a great way for local clubs and businesses to get involved in the initiative, promote their healthy offerings and services, and inform town residents about the wealth of resources available.’

Up to 20 groups will be selected for inclusion on the map.

Applications for submission can be made through the Facebook page and those applying for inclusion are encouraged to demonstrate why their group/ business should be included in the Healthy Town Map of Wexford Town, and what activities they are planning to encourage the people of Wexford Town to get involved in and celebrate Healthy Town 2018.

The closing date for submissions is Saturday, July 28.
