Did you leave a short white denim jacket at the Castlebrid­ge Show held in August. It has got brass buttons with the word ‘Zoe’ imprinted on them and has some iron-on stickers on the jacket. Owner should phone the show secretary at 087 6178092 to collect same.

DEVELOPMEN­T LOTTO

results of the Curracloe United lotto draw for Sunday, September 16.The numbers drawn were 4, 5, 15 and 27. There was no jackpot winner and no matchthree winners. €300 will be shared between the match-three winners in the next draw.

CURRACLOE SCHOOL NEWS

Congratula­tions to the winner of the schools first draw this year, Theresa Roche, who won €81. split-the-pot envelopes cost €2 each and are available from the school as well as in local businesses in Curracloe village.

The parents’ associatio­n have organised a clothes collection in conjunctio­n with the National Council for the Blind. Please bring your bags of unwanted clothing, linen, curtains, belts, handbags and shoes (paired) in plastic bags to the school before Tuesday, October 2.No cushions, duvets, pillows, socks or underwear please. All donations of clothing etc. will be sold in the NCBI shops nationwide or recycled. The school will receive money per 10Kg filled bag.

Fifth and sixth class pupils will be heading off to the Tennis Club to take part in a round robin competitio­n on Wednesday, October 3, Thanks to Wexford Harbour Boat and Tennis Club for the use of their facilities free of charge. On Thursday, September 27, the children will take on the teachers in a number of activities including penalty shoot – out, obstacle course, three legged race, wheelbarro­w race, sack race, tug of war and dodge ball. Well done to the active flag committee.

CARDS

Christmas cards (Partners 45) for turkeys will get under way in Hotel Curracloe on Thusrsday night, October 4t at 9 p.m. There is an open draw, and all are welcome. You must play six nights to qualify for the Christmas final.
