Fish joins Spiegeltent bill as two more shows sell out
WITH just over a week to go until the launch of this year’s Wexford Spiegeltent Festival, Jerry Fish has been added to the bill as a special guest.
Indie legend and ringmaster of renown, Fish will perform as guest of hostess Foxy P. Cox and The Peacock Parlour on Tuesday, October 23, starting 8 p.m.
Jerry Fish blasted onto the music scene in the 1990s, touring the globe as frontman of alternative rock outfit An Emotional Fish, the band who gave us indie rock anthem ‘Celebrate’. These days the name Jerry Fish is synonymous with festivals, carnival sideshow, circus and theatre. His genre bending and idiosyncratic style of entertainment has made him a household name within the Irish entertainment industry.
The Peacock Parlour show will bring burlesque, cabaret, circus, drag, aerial acrobatics, sideshows and much more to the Spiegeltent.
This year’s Spiegeltent Festival runs for 17 days and nights on Wexford Quayfront, from Friday, October 12, to Monday, October 28.
Both The Stunning and Hudson Taylor gigs have now joined Smokie and Tommy Tiernan on the ‘sold out’ list, .
There are still plenty of acts to see, including Bob Geldof and The Boomtown Rats, Something Happens, Delorentos, Paul Brady, Brendan Grace, Hermitage Green, Deirdre O’Kane, Johnny McEvoy, Neil Delamere and more.
Tickets are available from Wexfordspiegeltent. com or the box office on North Main Street Wexford, tel 053 9199199.
