FIRST RESPONDERS
Thank you to our community and to everyone who donated, sponsored and came to our fundraiser coffee morning in August and to Carrig Castles. It was a great success and thanks to you, we made over €1,700 for defibulatular boxes, batteries, pads, training etc.
DANCING
Social dancing continues in Tír na nÓg every Thursday night with music this Thursday, October 11, by Michelle and Tom Murphy, October 18 Brendan Lee, October 25 No dance Saturday, October 27, music by Joe Kennedy Kildare, and November 1 Art Supple. All funds raised are for the handball new build. Refreshments served all welcome.
GAA CLUB NEWS

Well done to our Intermediate Football team who had a great win over Adamstown in their Relugation Final. This secures them in the intermediate group for another year. Final score B/b 1-10 A/T seven points. Many thanks to David, Gary, Ger and John for their mentor skills throughout the year.
Congratulations to our under-15 football squad who won their match over Marshalstown in their Shield Final Match.
The under-17 boys’ Football lads are out this Wednesday in St Patrick’s Park when they take on Kilross best of luck to all.

Holistic Therapies – Are you feeling stressed or would you just like to experience the complementary therapies we have here in Grantstown. We are delighted to offer special introductory sessions to Reiki and Reflexology with our fully qualified practitioners and Remedial/ Therapeutic Yoga with Sorcha Hyland. This offer will be available every Wednesday morning during October and November from 11.30 a.m. and will cost only €15. Spaces are limited, so booking is advised. Please phone 051 561016. CE Scheme Vacancies – There are two Maintenance positions available in Carrig Village as well as carers and Laundry positions available in Grantstown Daycare Centre. SAD PASSING
Deepest sympathy to the Goff family on the death of Kitty Goff née Chapman. Wife of the late Eamon, and loving mother of Kay, Alice, Carmel, Peter, Margaret and the late Mary Therese. Sadly missed by her loving family, sonsin-law, daughter-in-law, grandchildren, relatives and friends. She reposed at her residence on Tuesday, October 2, from midday, with removal at 7 p.m., to St Peter’s Church, Ballymitty. Funeral Mass was on Wednesday, at 11 a.m., burial afterwards, in the adjoining cemetery. May she rest in peace.
DEATH
The death also occurred of Frank Arrigan a former Garda here in Carrig-on-Bannow last Wednesday in Enniscorthy.
Deepest sympathy to his wife Mary sons Conor and Niall and daughter Miriam. Removal was on Friday to St Aidan’s Cathedral for Funeral Mass at 10 o’c. Burial afterwards in Enniscorthy Cemetery.
