The Our Lady’s Island/St Fintan’s under-15 Gorey Guardian football Roinn one shield final versus Oylegate-Glenbrien was postponed due to a bereavement in St Fintan’s club and will now be played on Tuesday, October 30, in St Patrick’s Park.

CLUB DEVELOPMENT

As the season draws to a close for a few months plans are already under way for further development works. A full lighting system will be installed around the walking track which will see completion of the final stage of the track development. The Astro facility will be refilled and brushed and building works on the clubhouse redevelopment will also begin over the coming weeks. All these works are only possible with the ongoing support of all our members and supporters and the club takes this opportunity to thank everyone for their ongoing support of all club activities and fundraisers.

STRICTLY CLUB DANCING

The big night is getting closer now with our dancing couples putting the finer details to their routines. Strictly Club Dancing will take place on Saturday, November 3, in Coast Hotel Rosslare Strand. A great fun club night for all the family with tickets now on sale for €10 each. Tickets will be limited so be sure not to miss out and get yours early. Tickets available from dancers and club secretary Sharon Pettit.

As the dancing couples count down the weeks rumour has it dance instructor Charlene is pulling her hair out. The dancing ladies too we hear are finding it hard to manage some of the divas up in the hall with Cork blow in Robbie strutting his stuff, Blondie making up his own steps as he goes along, Huggies declaring ownership of the crown already and mouse river dancing at every opportunity.

CLUB LOTTO

It is now easier than ever to play our weekly club lotto and never miss a draw by signing up to a 10-week subscription for €15. Subscription forms are available at most training sessions or contact Sharon at 086 1787498 to sign up. Club lotto provides vital finances for the club which allow us to continue to maintain and develop clubground facilities and your support of the lotto is very much appreciated. The jackpot now stands at €15,600 and there is also a match-three prize of €200 up for grabs each week. The numbers drawn last week were 4, 13, 29 and 32. Many thanks for your continued support.

BALLYCOGLEY HALL

The refurbishment of Ballycogley hall is nearing completion and the committee would like to enlist some volunteers to help with the painting both inside and outside. If you can spare some time either during the day time or evening in the coming weeks please contact Stephen Murray 086 8120755. We want to have it ready for use by the end of September any help would be greatly appreciated.

TOMHAGGARD CENTRE

The interior of the Tomhaggard Social Centre is having a facelift at the moment as painting continues. We hope to have fencing put up at the front shortly as we’ve secured a Grant from Wexford Co Co. Due to mid term and Bank Holiday activities are reduced at the centre. Patchwork is on Friday morning. The AGM will be held shortly, once all committee members are available.

SCOUTS

There are no meetings next week due to Mid term Break.

ALL BLACKS AFC

The club is hoping to organise a bus on Sunday, November 4, to the ladies cup final at the Avviva Stadium to support the Wexford Youths Women’s Football Club. Tickets for the bus will be €10. We are hoping to secure free match tickets for any players under-16. Adult tickets will be €10. All are welcome including parents and siblings. Interested parties need to contact their relevant manager to confirm their interest so we can gauge numbers. Please note for younger teams parents will need to accompany their child. Should be a great day out and we wish the Wexford Youths Ladies the very best of luck.

The All Blacks would like to wish Rosslare Rangers Afc player Gary Redmond the very best following a nasty injury in the recent past.

UNDER 12 GIRLS PREMIER – Ross Celtic one All Blacks three. The girls travelled to New Ross Celtic on Saturday to take on unbeaten Celtic without our Captain Sophie Wallace, who was unavailable through sickness. We started really well and created many good chances with Aisling Roche behind most. But we just couldn’t find a way through then we lost our star midfielder Sinéad Cullen to a heavy knock with minutes remaining in the first half we conseeded to a fantastic individual goal.

The second half was a different story as our girl’s were excellent throughout with Ciara Murphy finding our equaliser with a thumping right foot shot. We pressed again and the outstanding Roche delivered a fabouls cross field ball to Tara Cullen, who let fly from outside the box and gave the keeper no chance great team goal. Our third was every bit as good as the simply outstanding Ava Wallace delivered a fantastic ball out wide to Roche, who finish with a thumping drive.

All the girls played a massive part in this excellent win Meave Kenny in goal was excellent throughout Ciara Kelly, Eve Rowe, Tara Cullen and Ava Wallace in defence were really soild. In midfield Kayleigh Nacey, Aisling Roche, Sinéad Cullen and Aoibheann Rankin domanited while Ciara Murphy and Rachel Nacey were excellent up front. Well done girls and we wish Sinéad a speedy recovery.

The under-12 Div2B schoolgirls travelled to Cushinstown this morning for their third game of the season. They were slow to find their feet but near the end of the first half they started to gel as a team and with a run from deep in our half saw Saoirse Crosbie carry the ball up along the line and with a fine strike she found the back of the net. This seen the girls 1-0 at halftime. Second half started strong and the girls mounted on the pressure and continued to battle hard. Cushinstown kept fighting and the girls done a great job in defense in holding them out. The last 10 minutes of the game saw a great defensive display from the girls and the game finished 1-0. Thanks for the support on the sideline today. Keep up the good work girls and see ye all in training on Monday night.

The under-nine girls had another great match daywhere 12 of our girls travelled to St Leonards. They all arrived with happy faces ready to get stuck in and have another great game of soccer. They are really enjoying these match days out and all their hard work and great determination in them is paying off. They are a great bunch of girls and are really starting to gel together as a lovely little team. Hope they all enjoyed their match today.

Hard luck to our U – 16 girls going down 4-1 to local neighbours Forth Celtic. Well done to all 16 players. Wishing Ali Mulligan a speedy recovery.
